Modifying Tunze 5017

has anyone ever removed the small pump from the Tunze and used it to control a relay that powers another pump?

My thought is I want to use the RODI water in my basement in my 55g drum rather than an ugly pail sitting right beside my fish tank. Do other Tunze ATO's have a longer cable to the pump? Like 30' and have the ability to pump water vertically 10-12'?

I don't seem to see the Tunze product that did this listed anymore (link anyone?), but they used to make one.....so it's more than possible. :)
