GRRRRR. I'm so frustrated. The money sent to a random dude yesterday because of a wrong email issue paypal won't refund to me. I have to wait to decide if some random dude will be kind and refund it back to me, otherwise I'm up brown creek.

Don't pay as gift. It can really come back to bite you.

Really!? And they're still not working with you? That doesn't make sense.

There was about 15 minutes between the time I sent the money and the time I was told the person I sent the money to was not the intended person. I immediately tried to cancel the transaction but there was no option to do so. Following that, I contacted paypal and this is what I was told:

I had a balance that was applied and the rest was Credit card payment. I can dispute the cc payment, and will as soon as the transaction is posted. I've opened a dispute with the other person but seriously, I doubt I'll be receiving a refund. At this point, there is nothing I can do, and I'm livid.

Call PayPal again and say a false charge was made on your behalf. Say you did not grant this transaction. Then we will see what they will say.

That looks like a form letter. They are not understanding that the money was sent to the wrong person. Notice how they're calling them "the seller." I'd say contact them and insist that they give you your money back as it was sent to a person who is NOT the seller.

I own a business and I wish they would have a "wrong recipients " guarantee

The issue has been resolved. Whilst I had them on the phone they were trying to tell me I still had to wait 10 days. There was nothing they could do they said. I asked for a supervisor and tt's unfortunate that I had to threaten account cancellation and tell them I was going to Google Wallet, their competitor if the issue wasn't resolved today.

It always amazes me what CAN'T be done until a threat to switch to a competitor happens.

TV providers and credit card companies are notorious for this

I don't normally pull that. And I absolutely hate it when I do. I feel like I come across as a spoiled little baby. Why does it take that in order for a person to do what I asked in the first place? Especially when you say you can't. Why not save me the hassle and yourself to just do it in the first place and let's stop playing games?
