This thread has been quiet for some time and thought it appropriate to post the recipe for Firecracker Salmon. I'm making this for dinner tonight along with mashed cauliflower (faux mashed potatoes).

FIRECRACKER SALMON
8 - 4 oz salmon fillets

1/2 cup peanut oil
4 TBSP soy
4 TBSP balsamic vinegar
4 TBSP green onion (scallions)
3 tsp brown sugar
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt

Directions: mix all ingredients; marinate fish; grill 10 min for each 1" of thickness.

Wife is from New Orleans (so she likes spicy), she loves Salmon, this sounds like a recipe for me to earn some points! Thanks for sharing!

You'll definitely earn points....but it surprisingly isn't that spicy. Even though it has all that red pepper flakes, it is actually relatively mild....and I don't know why. However, this is our favorite salmon recipe.

Thanks Paul. It's ironic I would discover a great way to cook fish on an aquarium forum. Seems a little counter-intuitive.o_O
