So over the past couple weeks these two monti caps have started losing their color in the centers, but the new growth is just as bright as ever. I have digi’s and encrusting types that look great, along with acros of all sorts. Of all things to go awry it’s the caps? Anyone experienced this before?

Yes, I inadvertently burned the center of one of my monticaps and it lost color in that spot for a few weeks while it recovered (the "burn" was apparently a result of mixing some coral supplements together that then had a very intense and very adverse reaction when feeding).

Nothing has changed feeding/supplement wise in the tank… parameters are g2g as far as I am concerned…

PH 7.9-8.1
Cal 430-440
Mag 1350ish
KH 9.0
Nitrates are 4-5
Phosphates steady around .06
SG 1.025
Fritz RPM blue box
Temp 78.5-79.5

lighting is 4 39w t5ho and 1 24” OR-3 led bar
Par at the affected caps is in the 270-300 range

any other ideas?

I change approximately 12 gallons every 3rd Sunday, total system is 72 gallons. It’s bugging the crap out of me because everything else is doing great, the sticks are as happy as they have ever been, and this rainbow monti is growing probably 1/4” a week.
