Hey reefers,

I have this monti that I don't really see out there for sale anytime. I'm calling it green eggs and ham !

I am not 100% that its a monti but deff not a chalice. Its some sort of encrusting coral with yellow polyps. It kinda a mix between cyphastrea and monti.

A lot of chalice corals encrust....

I also agree it looks more like a chalice then a Monti. The polyps are way too large to be a Monti

It's not a chalice 100% it has polyps not eyes they are yellow polyps ! I've seen this coral just recently for the first time for sale but can't find which online vendor it was and it was titled Jason fox or Tyree don't no a name monti green eggs no ham something like that !

For reference here's a jason fox green eggs and ham montipora. Nothing on your pic resembles a montipora but it has a lot of characteristics of a chalice coral.

No polyps between the ones circled. Yes I know the eyes on chalices are still polyps but these come out of the coral like flowers. I've never seen a chalice have polyp flowers like a monti or cyphestra! It's not a chalice it's encrusts and doesn't

It's some sort of encrusting coral and has the same polyps has say a sunset monti! See it's not a chalice ! Still look like a chalice guys lol?

Cool I haven't seen any one with the color combo for cyphaestra like this!

No need to be rude, were all taking the time to help and yes, your first pic resembles a chalice.

Never my intention to come off rude! Thanks for the help! In no way was my comment rude !
