Monti's are very susceptible to alk spikes and will first lose tissue in the center. It's hard to tell in your picture where the tissue is gone. Any alk spikes? Honestly, any answer here is a guessing game. I would first check for bugs/worms and then run a ICP-MS test to check your trace elements.

Alk has been pretty steady, small spike from 7.9 to 8.7 awhile back, maybe 2 weeks ago but I have had such spikes before when adjusting dosing

The spots are random over the center , kinda looks like when I had a torch coral fall on one of my other monti but no torches around this guy

My last icp was a few weeks ago and my iodine was low so I did dose a smidge of iodine but otherwise my report was pretty standard to where my numbers usually are, nothing out of ordinary in the toxic department

Everything else is thriving, good growth, almost too much growth, I have a mixed reef but heavy on the sps, nothing too difficult to keep happy tho, birds nest a couple easier acro, stylo, etc , a medium torch garden and multiple zoa colonies, some mushrooms and gsp on back wall, all seem happy as normal

Oh actually, I have a weeping willow toadstool that has been closed up for a couple days, he sometimes does this for no apparent reason so I didn’t think anything of it, my clownish live in him but he never cares that they are there
