Montipora red cap has bugs

hey reefers,

I noticed my Monti red cap wasn’t looking as colourful as usual and upon closer inspection I found these little bugs all over it, I did a bit of research but still unable to id them for treatment, red, black etc. Could do with a little help pls

They do not look like nudis i have seen. Look more like pods that might have decided dying coral flesh is a meal to have.

Maybe some more experienced coral keepers have seen. @Fudsey for the corals and @KJ for invert expertise

So after some more research I removed the Monti cap and dipped in Aquaforest AF protect for 6 minutes while blasting it with flow to knock the bugs off. I think it went well on first impressions, most if not all the bugs have been removed although I’m not sure about the larval / eggs but I’ll wait 24 hrs and repeat the dip. Pics of the bugs knocked off in the dipping container.

Did you ever find out what they are? Did you eradicate or how are you managing them?
