I had a large montipora that ended up growing on the glass on one end of my tank. I’ve removed it but there’s a residue left on the inside of the glass that I can’t seem to get rid of. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have any suggestions for removing it?

I’ve had a variety of things grow in my glass. Razor blade always did the job. But a blade in a scraper just a lose blade so you can angle it low against the glass. Just be careful and make sure no sand is trapped by the blade.

Thanks for the suggestion - I've tried using both a Seachem scraper as well as a razor blade but the residue remains, hence my question here. Below is a photo showing the residue on the side pane of glass when viewed from the front.

Absolutely no help but I've seen this phenomena reported quite a bit. Appears sometimes the glass gets etched. Dunno if it disappears eventually with repeated cleaning but I don't let coral stuff grow on the glass.
