Okay so finally stabilized my water parameter and it is now time for me to add my very first SPS.

I bought my first SPS, I chose a montipora because of how it is on the easier side of care level. While I was dipping my coral, I was trying to remove it from the frag plug so I can clean the bottom part and then my weak a** broke the monti frag in Half. lol. So now my dumba** may have wasted my money.

for you guys tho, what are the chances of this guy surviving? Or is it donzobonzo? Lol help pls.

got my water parameter checked earlier using an aquaspin

0 ammonia
0 nitrite
14 nitrate
0.02 phosphate
8.0-8.2 pH

1210 magnesium, but chill ill be dosing it or maybe ill on my next water change so it can go up again. If not then Ill be dosing im just afraid to chase numbers when everyone in the tank look happy except for the broken monti it may be in pain lol.

Now you have two! Just hang tight, they will grow out fine. Corals are often broken that way and will recover.

Did I just killed this expensive coral?? I swear to some deity that I love reefing but sometimes i get too excited when I get a new coral. I hope it recovers. This normally does not happen!! lol, my dog was about to poop and I may have left it in the dip longer... agghh such a bad week for my coral pick ups i hope they survive

I went through exactly what you are experiencing... a few months ago i got a birds nest frag and a few pieces broke and after checking in this forum i glued it to a plug. It is not dead and hope it will grow.
