ive recently asked the same question in the predatory fish forum. Since most people there are predatory fish keepers (obviously) i felt like answers were kinda biased.

I have a 65g mixed reef tank with all kinds of coral. I am thinking about an eel for some time now and would like dome feedback. I know keeping him fed up will be a challenge but i like challenges. Issue is i wont upgrade in the near future so i wanna plan for a fully grown eel. How hard is it going to be to keep parameters in check. I dont wanna sacrifice corals for the eel. Also im not fixed on any species i just like moray eels in general.

What are your two cents?

There are different species so you can find one to fit your tank. Not sure how they will be with other fish, everything is food.
