hey all!
The last batch of babies were all red with some white (as you can see in the pics) but last night I found 7 baby yellow ones!!!!!! They're about the size of half a pea or smaller.

rock nems are either male or female.
Under the right conditions, males release sperm, females release eggs. They find each other and fertilize and then land somewhere in the tank. Then a baby grows.

LOL how much flow do you have in the tank?
I have a 10 gallon and its got a 20 gal HOB only. no circulation pumps or anything and they fly all over before they settle.
Could be getting sucked up?
Also, I dont run any chemical filtration, just a filter pad.

A lot of flow as they are in my 210g gorg tank. Maybe that is the problem. I will have to try some in on of my picos or 40g lps tank. I guess the next pico will be a rock nem and hob with filter pad. :) Thanks for that info!

The females don't release eggs, they are internal brooders. After the eggs are fertilized and the baby nems form, they are released by the female.
