Mounting advice

I got this lobo at fragtoberfest and looking for advice on how to mount. I'm considering cutting the skeletal portion in half with a Dremel so that it's nowhere near as tall.

Other suggestions?

Just press it into the sandbed a bit and cover up some of the lower segment?

I'm considering that too. Assuming it Will it just grow over the crushed coral?
