Tank: RSR 200xl (53g)

live stock:
Yellow tang
Six line wrasse
2 clowns

biggest question: what to do with sand without disrupting a bunch of gases

—-PLAN FOR EXECUTION——-

new house is 5m around the corner.

New house will have:

25g Husky Tub:
Heated with MP10

I will begin by transferring 10-15g of water with a couple of the top rocks with the frags on them. Run that over to the new house and drop it off.

second run will be about 15-20g of water but with all rocks and fish and coral. Leaving the tank with a little bit of water, sand, and a power head and heater in the display.

drop that off and run back. Here’s where I’m not sure. Should I keep the sand and try and get as much out as possible and into a tub to transfer it and put it back in when the tank is transferred to the new home, or will this cause issues with deadly gases etc and should I just restart with new sand. Tank is only 2 months. All rocks are covered in algae and coralline has taken over in some areas .
