Well on saturday I am going to do my first upgrade from my 55 to a 70.
I have an overall plan on how i am going to approach this but would love some input
The new tank is going in the same spot as the current one which will make it harder.
Here is the plan.
Remove fish, rock, coral, sand and place in a large tuperware container with heater and blower. Fill extra 30 with water and some rock from tank to help store creatures during transition .
Disassemble 55 and stand and move to storage.
Go disassemble and move 70 and all its inhabitants in 5 gallon buckets.
Place new tank in old spot and fill with water.and sand.(should I include a blower now?)
Wait for sand to settle then add rock and wait again. Turn on return,skimmer,etc.
Add livestock
Am I missing anything or anything else you guys would advise?
