Im planning this spring break to finish my stand and move my 29g onto it from its existing stand. When im moving the tank do i just need to drain the water or also remove the rock. Have maybe 30 pounds of rock. I want to be as safe as possible just wondering what the safest procedure would be. I also currently have a sump that i built on there from a 20 long that i cut down and silicones together. I ran my finger over the seam near the bottom of the sump and felt a tiny bit of moisture, but im almost 99 percent sure it was the moisture from my finger will keep an eye on. The sump has been up and running for about a year now will be upgrading to a 10g sump from a 7.5g sump that i built. But that is a little scary.

If your rock work isn't too delicate you should be okay with just removing the water. If there's any chance of it falling over just remove it.

Do you believe that a long term benefit of changing out your water is diluting your mistakes?
