I could really use some advice on an upcoming move. I'm relocating from Montana to Chicago in less than a month and trying to figure out the best way to safely get my livestock there. I have a waterbox peninsula 25.

What I have:

2 clownfish 1 Midas blenny, and a ton of bubble tip anemones

I hope for a 2 day move. We’ll be driving a 15-foot U-Haul and towing my car behind. I’m open to a couple of options, and hoping to hear what you all suggest:

Transport everything with us in the U-Haul on buckets with air pumps, heaters, etc. I’d likely need to set up a temp tank once we get there. Or Ship everything ahead via UPS/FedEx (overnight or 2-day), and have a QT tank already set up and cycled at my friends.

My main priority is the fish—I'm okay rehoming corals or even some anemones if it makes this more feasible.

Has anyone done a move like this before? Would love input.

I would ship everything you can, and have a cycled tank as you stated.
I moved a tank from California to Arizona with fish and live stock. I had it all planned, totes, water....Needless to say I didn't enjoy it, and it was not even nearly as far as you're going.

You can ship it yourself. I've had fish live in tubs for a few days, like the Rubbermaid totes and stuff. All you need is a way to keep them warm and a battery operated airpump will do. Sure It'll be dark and you may experience some losses. But you'd do that with shipping. Your live rock will survive a few day with out water just keep it damp.
