I have never done it without the refugium sump and skimmer running though.. Hopefully that won't be too big of a difference. At least until I get back up there

It's usually a really bad idea to transfer sand. I hope everything ends up ok!

I've done it before. Watch me jinx myself now. But my sand bed is pretty shallow less than an inch. There's not usually anything in there that is too rough other than waiting for all that crap to settle. Lol I agitate the sand regularly and Cloud my water a bit. I would never disturb my refugium 6 inch sand bed though. Not even for a little bit.

You would not believe all the worms that were in that less than an inch sandbed. And I have 2 watchmans, a six line and a manderin! Even found a few I have not seen yet. Going to have to look those up.

It being a shallow bed should make the impact lower.

This is this morning. Unfortunately I have a 12 hour work day. 10:30 to 11. So it's going to have to stay this way until tomorrow. Or more likely tonight. LOL
My refugium is a bit mashed. But overall everything is going pretty well.

I am currently using two 92 watt power compact light bulbs. I have been using those for about five or six months now. And they seem to work well. Although the light bulbs are expensive.
Out of curiosity, what do you light your fuge with?

Hobbit change his hole a couple of weeks ago and I have not seen him since. But they refugium was moved intact just drained the water and then filled it back up so he should be fine. I do not want to tear it apart looking for him but if I don't find him soon I just might. And thx:-)

It's always cool to see the young ones getting involved and excited! Also nice to put a face to avatar. We plan on moving in about 18 months and I will def be looking back on this one for stand building ideas and inspiration. :D

I don't have any power tools except a multi speed corded drill. Did you use a table saw to cut everything? What other tools would I need to build a stand? Santa is making his list already.
