Does it make sense to pack up equipment ( not tanks or livestock) when moving out of country, or just sell and re-buy once settled?

Does the country you're moving to use the same electrical outlets?
If not would need either adaptors or buy equipment made with the plug ends that fit the country you're moving to.. would be the only issue I could foresee.
