Ok i just traded for a MP10w QD. Am i crazy or do i need to also have a reef link to connect my powerhead to the EcoSmartlive to control my powerhead, and set a schedule? I've been messing with it and cannot figure this out.

Yes, you cannot communicate to the mp10 without a reeflink module.

Well dang that sux. That whole wireless label is a bunch of crap!!!!
Well yes and no. Yes you need the reeflink to wirelessly control them. But the other half of it is if you have more than one unit, you're able to create master and slave relationships between them wirelessly without a reeflink.

If you have two mp 10 they will comunícate with each other. You can run some of the pre set programs on it. But if you wan more control and use ecosmartlive yes you need a reef link.

I only have one on my new 20 nano. Stupid stupid question, please take it easy on me, obviously the dry side can never be submersed correct? My tank has a rear sump and i really want to hide the powerhead on the back wall.

Correct the side that has the wire stays outside the tank. And the other half goes inside the tank :) the dry side cannot get wet as it has no waterproofing whatsoever
