Hi guys and girls

if you were to run just one of the above. Which would it be and why?
I currently have Mp40’s running but because of placement and viewing angles they are only on one side of my 5ft.
would gyre’s be better suited? Say 2 on the side - one for surface and one vertical - be better than 2 x Mp40’s banging flow to the other end of the tank?

because of controllers, wiring etc I’d like to only have one or the other. Interested in which is a better option - mixed reef but SPS dominant in future.

I have used both, and like both. I no longer use the gyres strictly because they are a pain to keep clean. I like the ease of replacing the wetsides and no cords of the MP40s.

Because it can only go on one side of the tank I would go with the gyre. I have heard good things about the Nero 5 if you decide to go with a power head.

MP40s and gyres are both great, but they do different things.

Because it can only go on one side of the tank I would go with the gyre.
I agree. If the pump can only go on one side, and you need to push water all the way across a 5' tank, then a gyre will move a sheet of water the whole way.

I have Gyres, and just ordered MP40s. Gyres are a pain to keep clean and working. I cant comment on MP40s yet, but if i could have a do over, i would not buy the gyres again. Very disappointed.
