Mp40 hot n noise

I have a mp40 on my 90 and I noticed a few days ago my tank was sitting higher in temp then normal
Yesterday I felt it and it was hot to the touch. And I could hear it, which is a first. Mine has always been quite.

Should I be worried.
I turned the whole thing of bc I felt very uncomfortable with it doing this.
Now that its off the tank temp is normal

That's strange being the motor is on the outside. You might try cleaning the wet side. That might quieten it down.

Make sure that the dry side and the wet side are lined up. You may have a shell stuck inside the wet side?
