I just installed 2 new MP40's in my Waterbox 6026 Peninsula (3/4" or 19mm glass). This is my first time with MP40s, but I feel like they are super loud. Sounds like an old dishwasher running. Is this normal? I have 2 Nero 5's in my other tank and I can barely hear them at 80%. Should I expect a lot of noise from the MP40s? I don't hear any whining or anything that sounds broken. They are just loud. I installed with the gasket, not spacer. Any ideas?

MP40s or MP40QDs? Mine are silent— perhaps they are not aligned correctly?

Turn them off and switch the heads.. make sure there centered and try again.. if they are off even a little they will wobble.
