I have a Mauritius Jewel Leopard wrasse that will be going into the DT this weekend (after 4 weeks of QT) and was interested in getting a Chaoti and maybe other leopard wrasses. What are their temperaments towards other leopards?

Thanks.

Mine have been fine, I added a small black leopard after adding a pair of potters but the black jumped after a couple weeks (I never had a problem and was actually making the screen tops the night I found the dried out body). My bartletts anthias male was harrassing her tho which I believe led to her jumping..... I am adding a regular leopard tonight or this weekend depending on when my friend can catch it and I don't anticipate any problems. I also plan on adding several other leopards eventually (bipartitus, black, maybe ornate.... the 1st 2 will be pairs or trios if I can get them at the same time, and probably a couple more of the regular leopards if I can get 2 together that are decent size).

FWIW, the potters pair actually took the little black leopard in and would let it swim with them quite a bit as well. I will let you know how adding the regular leopard in goes too.

Bryan, I think it works most of the time. I had a kuiters and potters in QT together and they did fine. I find you get less aggression initially when you do one of the following: add multiples (so not one fish is taking all the beating), go smaller fish first, and go same species females to one male. I want a choati too but havent been brave enough yet.

I added the regular leopard to my existing pair of potters leopards and they did not care at all, just like they didn't care when I added a black leopard. Also, just like with the black, they let it swim around with them and don't care that its there at all..... and my potters pair aren't sissies like some of them are known to be, they will take food away from my Passer Angel that is alot larger then they ever thought of being!
