Thats right they don't. Which is why mine are both set with different patterns during that NTM phase.. Long Pulse on one NTM on the Other.. My Hammers and Alveopora don't like the Nutrient Mode so I only use it with one unit.

What setup are you using and why? I have had one for awhile, picked up a second MP40, have them setup in Tidal Swell sync right now.
My recommendation is, "Why limit yourself?". You have a near limitless variety of options now. If you are using a controller like Apex then you can program them to change all the time, you can vary throughout the day/week with sync and anti-sync, you can vary the modes and whether you are sync/anti-sync in each mode. There is no right answer here. If you aren't using a controller then a very inexpensive option is Reef Link. Using Reef Link you can also change your programs up all the time to make the pumps do what you want.
