Mushroom coral

I’ve had a recordea mushroom in my tank for maybe 2-3 months now, and it didn’t do very well and I know it’s dead or dying. But should I go ahead and remove it or leave it in the tank.

Where did you have it placed in your tank? Ricordea (Yuma and Florida) all though from different regions prefer med to high light as they are found in shallow waters.
