in the last week the foot of one of our red mushroom corals has gotten thinner and thinner and thinner and now looks like it's attached by a thread. No idea what is going on. Nothing has changed in the placement of this mushroom since we got it a month and a half ago - other corals in the tank (GSP, Lobo, Pipe Organ & another Mushroom) look fine. Water perameters have remained steady. Any thoughts? And if it releases - do we just try to place it again, or should we let it choose it's own spot? Thanks.

I cut mushrooms with a razor blade and slice it like a pizza. This always results in having several new polyps in a few weeks.

Thanks everyone -- I'll be on the lookout for our 'newborns'. This will be a first for us, obviously.
