Some of them can grow quite fast and spread aggressively, so I would recommend having them isolated on a little "Island" rather than the main rock. If that's not possible you can use products like ARKA Aip-Away to get rid of polyps you no longer want.

Good to know! I have a hairy green mushroom as well and it swells up its stem almost like a nem, none of my others do that, is that normal for them?

Maybe the spot it is located in is too dark?

its a lighting thing for shrooms otherwise its somehow catching physical food. I have one that stretches like this due to light and flow

same mine is on upper rockwork and it does this, looks funny but itll go back to normal after a little while
