Bought one of these back in 2017, it had a weird name like “swamp monster”. It’s been multiplying and slowly spreading. Any idea of what type it is? Are they worth anything since they’re multiplying around my tank? Thanks!

It’s a rhodactis mushroom, as far as whether it has a fancy trade name who knows….make one up and try to sell for $$$
Seriously, I don’t believe it is uncommon so you could probably get $10-$20 per depending on your market.

Yes, looks like a basic rhodactis mushroom, very common, mine has grown tree like with 5 heads
