ABANDON SHIP!!!!! Looks like it detached from the plug. I had a Frankenstein do that a few weeks back I placed it in a urine/sample cup low low low flow and low light and it re-attached to a disk.

I often buy my 'shrooms' loose and let them attach to a piece of LR on their own in a separate container then place in DT.

Sometimes it takes a few days but worth it. :)

Are they tough enough to handle with bare hands?

I should have explained a bit more. Sorry about that. I generally use a large enough Tupperware container to hold a nice piece of LR with saltwater in, let it sit for a couple of days at which point most have settled and attached to the piece of LR.

You can cover the bottom of small plastic container with rock rubble and sit on bottom of your tank place lose mushrooms in it and cover with screen mesh and use rubber bands to hold screen in place.. shrooms will attach to the rubble in time.
