Hey guys, my mushroom is about two weeks old. He has been more fuller than this and seems to be angry. My zoas are thriving, but he just seems to be shriveled all the time then before when he was full. I have been feeding amino acids blend. Any thoughts? See picture

It will adjust to your parameters eventually. It looks fine to me anyways.
Okay. I mean he is usually more of like a waterfall full. But I just discovered that my sand shifting star fish was emerging under him so maybe that’s what is disturbing him. And I was just spot feeding my feather duster and he was on the other side so maybe he got some food

Do you have a picture of him when he was all the way out?

And I was just spot feeding my feather duster and he was on the other side so maybe he got some food
You definitely don’t need to spot feed a feather duster…

Rhodactis shrooms aren’t really known for being like a “waterfall”.

My brain buster rho looks pretty much like yours, and that’s his full extent.

I’ve been told by several to spot feeding him over his mouth to see if he retracts? And by waterfall I mean when he’s fully out I can’t see his steam at all. The green touches the disk

Good luck spot feeding, lol.

It may just be that it’s bright irritated by something.

Is it like this 24/7?

Looks the same to me. I don’t know man, it’s extremely hard to tell from a photo.

Maybe move it to another location?
I wish I had a better one I’m sorry. Perhaps maybe that will help! What do you do with yours? Maybe not enough flow? It is a bit shaded by the rock

He finally retracted after I spot fed him some photo plankton. Now he’s playing hide and go seek and is acting like he did at the LFS. Maybe he just didn’t like the first food and was just weak? Idk. He seems to do well now and he even planted himself finally. He has been loose
