Hey all,

in my pico tank (link in signature); my mushrooms are unhappy. Last week (Wednesday) I did a water change before the 4 day weekend. Came back Monday and both my red and teal mushrooms has shriveled up and has not opened at all, even now they're still grumpy. My red is open, but not as big as they were before. My teals hasn't opened at all.

All other corals in the tank is doing well, nothing amiss there. Nothing died over the weekend, fish and shrimp accounted for

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: Somewhere between 0 and 5.0ppm- have a hard time judging the color
Phosphate: .25ppm

I reduced the temp as it did go up to 82º but I don't think that caused it as it's always been up there.

any idea why my mushrooms are unhappy?

Water change probably changed some of the parameters. When I use to do larger water changes in the 50% range, my shrooms would get all ***** and shrivel up for several days and sometimes a few weeks depending on species. I keep my water changes under 10% now.

Salinity is .025, that hasn't changed. tested monday and again today. I usually do about 50% water change once or twice a month.

They look a little deflated so it might have been a quick parameter change that made them upset and they're just having to readjust.

What heater are you using? And how did you verify temp? 82 on a sub par heater could be 84".. As an example

I have a thermometer in the tank and it said 82º. The heater, I forget what brand it is, but when you turn it, it color codes on the heater itself which I hate. I did reduce it a few degrees
