They are supposed to be part of the ecosystem. My Radion g6 and vortechs talk to MXM .. it would be very disappointing if future updates don’t include this simple change. The DOS has good application for water changes etc, but there is a separate market for a smaller versatile dosing pump

Versa is just the better pump so that's very unfortunate
I agree with you. And I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Comparing them mechanically I think the versa wins out. The gear reduction alone making the versa continuous is winning enough.

But when it comes to software, I think that's where we get the versa truly standing out. Being able to set your dosing to virtually any configuration (short of data from inputs) you want is what makes it a real winner. You're not limited to software making dosing time and interval decisions for you.

The flipside, because, DOS is integrated into a controller you have the ability to use tank conditions (data from inputs) to configure and operate the pumps.

When thinking about how they were going to integrate versa into fusion, I feared they were going to chop it's legs off and make it operate similar to the DOS. Which would've been bad.

It certainly appears that we aren't going to get to see the direction in which versa integrated into fusion. Which, in my mind, renders mxm pretty much useless.

I agree with both of you on your thoughts on the VERSA pumps. I do have an exception to the gear drive as I have a pair of white paper weights, just out of warranty, that have both issues with jammed/stripped gear drives. In both instances, these were used for low ML dosing use.

Programming is 50/50, and would be 80/20 if not for the time clock issue (which reared its ugly head again yesterday, with loss of daily dose attributed to this), straight 100% with ability to integrate with Apex.

I couldn't go out of town for any length without worrying about dosing stopping anymore, so I just went out and bought a new DOS QD as a replacement.

Sincerely,

David
