MXM Vortech Setting with sync/anti-sync/back

Can you clarify if you are using the WXM or MXM to control your MPs in Neptune?

I’m fairly certain they still haven’t added support for sync/anti-sync for MPs yet. A few of the AI models received sync/anti-sync support.

I’ve had the same issues as OP. A3 Pro, MXM, 3x MP10wQD. All items are up to date in Apex and Mobius.

I tried having my right as the primary and put my left one in anti-sync with 100%.

The MP10 L controller remained in its previous mode. So I turned it off via Apex. It went into its grey/white mode. I turned it back to auto so it would go into anti sync mode. It isn’t switching to anti-sync (orange). It remains grey as if the MXM cannot communicate with it.

So this confirms that as of 7/10/2024, MP wave makers still lack sync/anti-sync modes (yet alone back mode).

I use the WXM to control my pumps. MXM to control my lights. I just didn't want to do any rewiring or module swapping... didn't want to risk me breaking something since this system is so fragile at times. Plus the parent/child setting wasn't available. I could have swore that it was but I guess not. Not surprised as they also hinted that maybe the Versas would be added to the WXM but that hasn't happened and I don't think it will. They have forgotten about the WXM. All the energy is in the NP Trident 2 or whatever they call it.

Gotcha, then yes, it seems only a few of the AI wave makers have sync/anti-sync via the MXM module. We still wait for these profiles to be supported on the MP10/40/60.

Ha, even on the Trident NP, it’s missing things. There’s no calibration task. It’s also allegedly going to receive an update to allow DOS controlled dosing of NOPOX based on the Trident NP test results but it’s not available at launch either.

Since the MXM launch, Neptune has launched two new products. It would be nice if they actually delivered the features of 2023’s big product before pushing new products for 2024.

I guess we’re all suckers and bought the MXM and they have our money so why spend development budget for a product that won’t earn them any further money. Bummer

I really only got the WXM to control my lights in the even the tank gets too hot it goes into a less intense mode. Everything else would be a bonus. Still have a sour taste in my mouth because they could have just done that with the WXM but why when we will just buy it anyway. If they come out with another module to control Versas and to have parent/child control I think I will loose it... but then go and buy it cause I'm a sucker like that. I think once they reach a certain point of sale they just say next module and call it a day. Like you said they already have our money... they aren't going to give it back.

Has this been resolved?

I would like to sync my MP40s and Neros on gyre anti-sync which seems like a simple thing for a product that took so long to develop.

Unfortunately not. I don't think they ever will. They have their hands tied with the new Trident NP. They have forgotten all about the MXM.

Just a friendly reminder to a year old thread that people are still waiting for Sync and Anti-Sync modes. Or better yet just release the 10 year old WXM again, it worked a lot better than anything you've put out since you sold out to the investment conglomerate.

I’ve worked with setups like that before, and without sync or anti-sync settings, it comes down to adjusting pump placement and timing. I usually position the pumps at opposite ends to get a good flow pattern, and if you’ve got a controller, you can experiment with timers to get them pulsing in a way that helps with nutrient transport. It’s definitely a bit of trial and error, but you can still make it work without those specific settings.

Has sync/antisync been sorted yet? Trying to set my 2 mp40s and i dont think its working

I have 3 Nero’s connected using an mxm and I’ve noticed the flow % is a lot less then it was using Mobius. In Mobius pulse mode I had my parent Nero set at 50% which was plenty, but 50% pulse using the mxm is no where near the same flow.
It’s not only pulse mode either it’s all modes, the flow is massively reduced using an mxm or am I doing something wrong?

Update on this it was user error.
I basically set it up on fusion like I did on mobius by setting the times for the different modes to come on, but I didn't realise you had to have a start and stop time for each mode.
Because I didn't do this I created a semi circle schedule hence why the flows were ramping up or down at different speeds during the day, but it's all sorted now and working fine.

Any update on this? Has anyone been able to get anti sync to work on a MP40qd?

I can only get it to work by unsyncing with fusion and running the pumps in Mobius only. I don’t think fusion supports the artisans parent/child setting. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

I think we are hoping against all odds that this will happen. Ive moved on and deemed the mxm an unnecessary piece of equipment.

The one thing that would've made mxm a star would've been the implementation of versa. Coupled by the fact that sync/antisync aren't an option either simply makes it a VXM (Vectra Control Module). Perhaps that's a value to people.
