My 120 tank first time reefer

Heres a few pics of where im starting from picked up a used 120 did a 48 water hold test also picked up a 40 breeder which i started a water hold test this evening after they will get a good cleaning and drying . Started the frame for my stand its 4x4 welded square tubing with some 4x4 angle welded in for some extra support the top is going to have 1 inch plywood with the bottom wrapped as well. Tomorrow I'll start laying out my plumbing for the sump .

So far on my shopping list
Skimmer,
40 gal baffle kit,
Lights,
Pumps,
Wave maker,
Live rock,
Sand

Already have test kit , gravel vac, rodi system,
 
Skimmer and sump done .
Looking to order some rock and sand
With a 2 inch sand bed is a 120 pounds of rock still necessary or can I get aways with 60-70pounds ?
