Hello from the Houston area. After 4 years, I've decided to jump back into the hobby, purchasing a Neptunian Cube MP120. The tank was delivered and set up today, so I'm excited to see it evolve into my own mini ocean.

I've got 2 mp40s for flow and 2 Ai hydra 44 edge for lighting. I may add another down the line, but thats a decision for later.

Anyway, here's a pic of the rockwork.

Looks great. I have a 120 gallon tank too. I
Looks like lots of room for coral on all that rock!

So quick question, my temps are sitting around 81.5. Ive seen people put fans in their sump. Would a fan be enough to drop the temperature 3 degrees? Also, would the power bricks taken out of the sump area help?

I would definitely try taking the power bricks out of the sump area. A fan in the sump could help for sure. I try to keep the temperature in the room around 72 degrees. Maybe an air conditioner for the summer months. It’s cheaper than a chiller

Nice tank. Good luck with it. Where did you buy it from? Is the glass ultra clear?

I have to 140mm for pc cooling fans cooling my system no problem. What you need is a usb cable and a pc fan splitter and any usb charger. Also there is a device on Amazon called INCBIrd you connect your heater and cooling fans and sent a probe to your tank it will automatically turn on your fans or heater at your desired temperature I live in Florida heat is my main issue and it works great. Just set it once and forget it I keep my temp at 78 all day long.

I love the aquascape in your tank! Gives you plenty of room for coral!

Ammonia is at 0ppm.
Nitrite is at 5+ppm.

Looks like the cycle is in full swing.

I bought the tank from a LFS in the Houston area called "That Awuarium Place". The glass is real clear.

Added a Tomini tang, 1 spot foxface and a flame hawkfish today. Will take pics after i figure out how to make them less blue.

So my hawkfish jumped out and didn't make it. I think he ended up a cat snack. My lid from Top Lid arrived today so no more jumpers.

Current stocklist

Tomini Tang
Powder Brown Tang
Blue Tang
1 Spot Foxface
Blue Chromis
