My 180 gallon upgrade

I currently have a 110 sps dominant tank that I outgrew, so I wanted to do a 180. This tank will plumb through the wall to a closet behind it for the sump. I am also attaching a frag tank to the system as well.

I decided to build my stand from scratch

Starting the plumbing

My sump is a Trigger 39 and the return bulkheads are only 1”. I called trigger and they made me a new plate that accepts 1-1/2” plumbing, so I had to cut my drains off and redo them. I also worked on plumbing the frag tank

I am laying out my Apex modules for the tank. I have an AI Prime for the frag tank

I bought all my Marco Reef Rock (90lbs) and the E-Marco 400 mortar kit. My plan is to add an additional 40-50lbs of live rock from my current tank to help with seeding the new rock

My lights are the Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid with (4) AI Hydra 26HD’s

I added Fritz Turbostart 900 and 8 blue/green chromis to get the tank going.

Lol, never seen that particular snail before, bet it was expensive

Great looking build. I built my stand with white acrylic in the doors and lit the inside with LED strips.
