I want to have as much of the wiring concealed but one thing I learned from my last build was that created some issues when taking pumps and other equipment out to clean it. I have about 4.5” from the back of the sump to the back wall of the stand.

I decided to install receptacles along the back wall and have them each controlled by the Apex so I can easily unplug the equipment to remove it. I also added a raceway to install all the probe wiring so it will be separate from the power wiring.

The bottom pipe will be used to run the L1 return pump wire through because of the large fitting on the end of the cable

Wouldn’t electrical receptacles that low be at risk from water splashes? Fire hazard?

I did debate that for awhile but some of the cords would need to be plugged into extension cords and lay behind the stand so I’m not sure what the difference would be. I do have everything on a GFI and so far there have been no splashing in the sump area.

The electric light lift turned out real well and it’s been soooo nice to get the lights up and out of the way while working in the tank. I cut all the metal and had the welding and powder coating done by others.

Love the light mount/lift, can I commission you for one? :)
I would take you up on that if I could do the welding myself. I was planning on doing a detailed build thread for it and would certainly help you through the process.
