So I’m new to reefing. But I’ve started a 40 breeder build. I joined after a lot of things have been done. I built the stand and I’m going for a like old shipping crate look for the stand, because when I think of the ocean I think of fishing and shipping ports lol I don’t know. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Welcome to the fun! It looks like you've got all the basics under control and you're ready to start scaping. I think the rustic stand is really cool. I wish I were that creative and handy.
Yeah I didn’t know for a while how I wanted it to look and while I was at work I saw a whole bunch of pallets laying around as decided to use them.

Pallet wood is a good idea.bi think I'll "borrow" it for my next stand build.

Lol yeah with Lumber prices so high It was a no brainer for me and like @rsumner said I like the older kind of weathered look

Finally got the rest of the stand built now just need rock, sand water, dosing containers, and lights And I should be ready to start cycling I also picked up a barrel for mixing for free.

Welcome to R2R! I too have a 40B.

I would definitely glass brace the tank if you/someone else removed the black plastic brace.

Yeah I filled it up to test for leaks in the overflow and You could tell there is a slight bow in the front and back panels

Make a euro brace on top, you can get pre cut glass from a glass shop and silicone it to the top

That one wall would look cool wrapped in that pallet wood, as an accent wall.

I like the stand very good idea, looks great!
Yeah i think trying to get my land lord to budge on me doing that is slim but that kind of the reason i did the stand that way for in the future when we buy our house.
