Hello All,
I'm reaching out for some advice because I've encountered something unusual with my Acantho. It seems to have developed a bulge that looks a bit like a hernia. I'm not sure what steps to take or if this is a serious issue. It was perfectly fine last night, so this change has me a bit concerned. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Thank you for any insights you can offer!

Parameters:
Salinity 1.025
Nitrate 4
Phosphate 0.01-0.05
Alkalinity 9.0-9.1

That, I believe, is asexual reproduction. I have not seen pictures before but I have read or heard tales about what I think you are posting?

I would expect this to detach in heavy currents to disperse away from the parent, but it may require intervention on your part?

GL.

Hello! Thanks for sharing, this is super interesting. Did this ever resolve or get ejected, or does the Acanthophyllia still have the bulge?
