So my green candy cane is always nice and full and normal looking. Today I put my tank into feed mode, pumps off and lights dim a bit and I fed my tank as usual. Pumps came back in and lights came back up and my candy cane has all these long wisps coming out of its mouth area. Any thoughts??

vermetid snail, maybe? looks like a slime more than anything else.
Nope. I know full well what the vermetid snail looks like as well as it's eggs and this is definitely not that. and it happened while I was feeding the tank inhabitants, but I know it's also not the candycanes feeder tentacles. They are going away now a few hours later, but have never seen that before.

what inverts do you have? snails in particular.

I think they are just "sliming" because I did move them a few inches from where they were originally, and I had a touched them a few times with my hand (rubber glove), so I imagine they just aren't super happy with me right now .
