To be honest, it more looks like it is expelling some excess waste and/or zoax.

Years ago my blue S. haddoni spawned, it the color was different, and there was a lot more of it.

This is usually a sign of death smokeing out of mouth

IMO/E, that isn't a sign of death. My 5+ year old S. haddoni will still do it from time to time.

It is either expelling some waste and/or adjusting its zoax.
