my clownfish has popeye not sure what is the best course of action

my clown fish has pop eye that appeared 3 days ago only one eye is affected and he is eating well im not sure what to do should i leave him in the tank and its self limited and its due to an abrasion
or its a bacterial infection and i should take it out and treat it in a separate tank

Seeing its one eye and no ther notable issues, looks like a result from scratch or injury.
In a seperate quarantine tank, treat with maracyn AKA maracyn 1 for at least 5 days. Other option is seachem kanaplex

You’re correct - one eye damaged like this is usually due to an injury and the issue can be self-limiting. If the fish shows other symptoms like not eating well, the eye getting worse, etc. follow the treatment mentioned above.
