One small, yet successful ATS DIY project. Basically, on 2 side glass sides I glued a piece of glass obliquely (1 piece is perpendicular to those side pages as reinforcement), right up to the surface of the water in the sump, without avoiding any overflow at sump water level (no water falling noise). What I possibly point out as a potential problem is that the water in the ATS comes from overflow. In fact, it may not be a problem because it can’t just be represented like that, and I also have an emergency drain from overflow that goes directly into the sump. So, a plain overflow pipe, a T manifold and two pipes in which I drilled holes to keep the water flowing evenly across the grid. The yellow ends are the lids of the kinder egg. The mesh is the plastic construction one for smoothing. The light is Tunze for refugium and that's it ... ATS is flawless and already effective because after 7 days of use I have significantly less algae on the glass of the display tank. I also see a drop in NO3 and PO4 ... so I'll report back later. I listen to possible remarks, what did I miss that could be a problem? The photos are the condition at the beginning and after 7-8 days ... and yes, my pH was 8.1-8.4, now it is 8.3-8.6 (probe freshly calibrated).
