So im new to the saltwater hobby but have been in freshwater for many years and debating over the years whether I should get into saltwater big reason was it felt intimidating. Fast forward 6 months ago I dedicated the next 2 months to researching all about saltwater and different aspects and products and 2 months later started my first tank. Its been an amazing experience (my wife hates it) ive had more ups than downs thankfully.

I started off with a lot of red sea products however alot of my testing seemed to be inaccurate and when I did my first ICP there was an alarming amount of unwanteds in my tank. I decided to shift my salt and move over to modern reef.

I had a lot of questions and things I was unsure about so I decided to whatsapp them. I was surprised to find out Ali Akil was directly responding to these messages and I have to say, the amount of time and effort and granular details he put I to ever single conversation was amazing. Fast forward about a month and a half im now using their dosing for the past 2 weeks, have their dips their complete reef food etc...

Not only have their products so far been great the customer service has been nothing short of phenomenal! I dont usually do much reviews with anything but this was hands down one of the best experiences ive had. I can say they've not only got a customer for life but ill be preaching their products to anyone in the hobby. Already convinced another friend move away from red sea to modern reef too!

Their products are not available online here in the states (as far as I know). Glad it is working out for you.

I haven't heard of these guys before but I'm glad you are having a good experince with modern reef! Hopefully others will get use out of this!

I am one of several who are waiting for Modern Reef to become available in the USA. We don’t have much information of Modern Reef here so it is helpful to gather real life examples of tanks using the system.

What kind of system are you running and do you dose anything other than Modern Reef?
