Hi guys! So I finally pulled the trigger on my tank on Friday afternoon! I was gonna wait for it to arrive before starting my build thread, but I'm really stoked so I thought I'd start a little early.

This is my first reef so thanks in advance for any tips or adadvice! So, on to the tank...

equipment:
waterbox 190.5
Sicce syncra SDC 7.0
Nyos Quantum 160
3 XR15 Blue
2 Vortech MP40
Eheim Jager 250w heater with an inkbird controller
Apex pro

The apex and MP40s arrive Friday and the rest should arrive in the next 2 weeks! I'll add more as it comes in!

So, technically, i started this build back in October with 120lbs of marcorock coraline rock. I've gone through 6 or 7 different aquascapes, but this is what I have so far...

And then I have the water setup. I ran the line to a 20G Rubbermaid with a float valve. From there it fills another 20G for the salt water...

Just take your time first 5-6 months will be a roller-coaster. Everyone going to tell you something different. Research as much as possible before adding corals, fish, or changing things. Just take it really

Ya. I think the only thing I've seen people agree on is patience, patience and more patience. I've been researching my stock list since summer. It keeps changing because alot of them didn't seem to play well with the CUC I have on there. At least I have time to sort it all out...

So far, I've come up with this:

2 clowns(not sure which ones yet)
Yellow tang
Blue tang
Yellow longnose butterflyfish
Bicolor blenny
Striped blenny
Sailfin blenny
Royal gramma
Rabbitfish
longnose hawkfish
Coral Beauty

I wanted to add a small school of chromis, but everything I've seen just says they'll kill each other off till there's only 1 left so I'm still of the fence for them... at 50 bucks a pop, I'll probably be annoyed to watch them dwindle.
