Hi everyone, thought I would start a thread to document my journey into the world of reefing with my first tank.
So my tank is 140 litres 80cm x 40cm x45cm and is setup as a peninsula room Divider between my living room and dinning room.

Equipment that I will be using:
Light- ai prime
Filter- tunze comline internal
Skimmer- tunze 9004
Jebao wavemaker
Aqueal heater connected to inkbird wifi controller

As this is my first reef tank I will be keeping stocking lite with a pair of clowns and a royal gamma and some inverts for a cuc.

When I'm at the stage for corals I will be sticking to those that are easier to keep zoas, mushrooms etc

Sounds like a good plan. Are you planning to use live rock or dry rock? I strongly recommend at least having a bit of live rock if not in its entirety. While you need to quarantine them for pests and allow die off to occur, you can avoid a host of other problems by having a decent diversity of lifeforms from the get go.

I have spent most of the day scaping and re scaping and in finally happy with this layout.
I have used dry rock and I will be using live sand when I'm at the stage to get the tank wet

Scape is looking nice. That may be a bit of a big area to light with just a single prime but maybe not with some lower light stuff. If my conversion is correct it’s about a 28x16x16 tank. Just something to consider.

Thanks!
As this is my first reed tank I'm planning on going with the lower demanding types of corals to start and once I get settled in upgrade the lights for for those higher demanding corals
