Alright so my tank was up and running and developing super nicely. My nems were thriving and getting super big. I had an algae bloom. Turf algae I’m thinking. I lost all but one of my BTA’s. Rock flowers are still fine but they are in the sand and not on the algae covered rocks. I’ve been doing weekly manual removal of the algae with my water changes. I added an emerald crab, tuxedo urchin, and turbo snail. I feed 1x a day, only what they will eat before it hits the sand bed. My nitrates and phosphate are at 0 (I’m assuming the algae is the nitrate and phosphate and it’s already consumed it and thriving). I also added a HOB refugium with Chaeto…..but the Chaeto keeps dying (not enough nutrients in the water??????) I’m not sure what else to do. It’s been a few months. I figure it took some time to get here it will take time to fix it…..but no matter what I do the algae seems to be thriving and not letting up at all. Am I to a point where I need to use some chemical intervention? Any recommendations are welcome
