My fish have ich what should I do??!! ( joke)

Member 1 - boil the fish at 450 degress then do a freshwater dip

Member 2 - take all fish out and leave tank fallow for 72 days. Treat with copper in qt.

Member 3 - 72 days??? Are you crazy? It must be 76 days!!

Member 4 - copper? You will kill everything and it will reach into your neighbors reef. Must do hypo!

Member 7 - take the fish out for some fresh air. About 92 minutes will do.

Member 8 - studies show that ich can stay for 93 days, 11 hours and 44 minutes. Make sure to keep your tank fallow for 144 days to be on the safe side. Nothing in this hobby should be done quickly.

Member 9 - feed food soaked in garlic and fish will be fine,.

Member 10 - garlic does nothing and actually causes liver disease in the fish. It may seem that the ich is gone but its still there in the gills. You must feed them vodka. Not flavored.

Member 10 - falvored is fine. I give mine long island ice tea and have had him for 80 years....

Member 11 - turn the temp in the tank to 92 degress for 74 hours.

Member 12 - use a UV

Member 13 - dump in some cure ich and that will do the trick.

ha ha love it . just shows how opinions vary in this hobby . seriously the best advice anyone can get when they have ich IN MY opinion not saying this is the only way to deal with it or that there may be a better way ( I just haven;t tried it ) but here is what I did that worked for me . Use products that help boost a fishes immune system , IE voogle , garlic for help with feeding . ( not sure on that one ) but I did it anyway . Vitamins in food , I got a cleaner wrasse , cleaner shrimp , again covering bases here . then I used polyp Lab Medic to the letter of the directions . I had ich really bad and setting a QT was not an option for as many fish as I had . after going a couple days over the recomended treatment period I stopped and since then there has been no sign of Ich in my tanks . now all the nay sayers and non believers can chime in now . lol
