Updated Pictures

Not a whole lot of progress.
But, it is progress

I reworked the manifolds for better flow.
Replace the 90 degree elbows with 45's.
Increased the Ball Valve size

This is the Pump location Side

You might hate me for this, but I recently read that two 45's are actually more restrictive than one 90. I could'nt believe it when I read it, but the post included figures on both. I wish I could remember where I read it to give you a link, if I come across it again, I'll post it for you.

BTW, what is the purpose of the loop in that manifold?

The loop is to equal out the Pressure/Flow to each valve.

Now you tell me,
No turning back now,
They are already glue together.

Sorry,
For the slow updates.
Time has been limited lately.

Here is the Pump I picked up for the recirculating system.
It is from ATB.
1500gph.

I was not happy with the Rock Structure.
So, most of my free time was spent redoing it.

There are only " 2 " Rock Structures with a Shelf setting in the middle.

It is amazing what you can do with a few sticks of Aqua Mend and some time.

That looks like it wil be an awesome system!. But I am curious, why do you need so much flow and control over the flow to grow rics and zoas? Seems like way overkill to me....Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to criticize, just seems like way more than you need. Do rics and zoas even like a lot of flow?

By the looks of it your going BB too huh?

How 'bout a group shot of the rics waiting to get in that box of water?

Do you have a goal date to get wet?

What are your plans as far a cycling goes, and seeding all that dry rock?

They like more flow then people give them credit for.....I have rics in Medium flow and some are close to 3'' across.....Looking at my flow people would tellyou that they are in to much flow......But it all depends on the system and the way thewater flows in andaround the rocks as well....

Somebody needs to hurry up and get this thing wet......I don't know how people can wait so long...LOL

I am not trying to criticize
No offense taken.

My Ricordea prefer Medium to High Flow.
But, not direct flow that blows them off of the Rock.

My Zoas produce a denser mat when under higher flow.

I do not like the looks of " Power Head Style Water Movement Devices "
So, the only other way to get the water movement that I want.
Is to use a multiple outlet recirculating system

:smile:Over Kill
:smile:What is that

My thoughts exactly

I don't know how people can wait so long...LOL
It is very hard.
But, I have another system up and running already that I can enjoy for the time being.
And, this will be my last Tank/System that I plan on putting together.
And I want it done right the first time, so that I do not have to modify it after it is up and running.

Do you have a goal date to get wet?
:smile:The Moment the System is complete

What are your plans as far a cycling goes, and seeding all that dry rock?
A couple of big Rubbermaid Containers.
Soak the Rock in R/O water to loosen up any " Death " caused by drying the Rock.
Scrub the Rock to remove any Debris.
The New Rock will be Cycled in the New System, Seeded by some Live Rock from my Existing System.

How 'bout a group shot of the rics waiting to get in that box of water?
I will attempt to get one up tonight or tomorrow.

sa-weet collection bro...
Thanks for the Kind words.
I hope to increase my collection after the Lansing Frag Swap.
That is, if I can talk Tomasz into bring a few of his Ricordea.
I only have 3 from him and I am really interested in 4 more.

What kinda light do you have them under currently? And when they get in there new home, what kinda lighting will you use?
They are currently under T-5's
And will be under T-5's in the new System.

The loop is to equal out the Pressure/Flow to each valve.

JMO, if you are using Ball valves to control the flow, the loop is unnecessary and wasting space, although it is cool looking in a mad scientist kind of way.

You can find some great manifolds here that will take up way less space.

Product Listing - PVC-Manifolds-Distributors

That is a great selection of Rics you have there!

In my experience,
The loop does make a difference.
