It never opened and died.
I think the aqua cultured are far more tolerant
Don't worry you're not the only one that has bad luck with Gonis too.I do not know if mine were aqua cultured or not. I have one that is thriving one that is surviving and four that have melted away.
I have an abundance on No3 and PO4, mag is in the range 1400Find that gonis need to be fed. And not reef roids. Essentially things you would feed a plant, iron and manganese. Also ensure you’ve got no3 and po4 in the water as well. Moderate to low lighting and moderate flow and you are good to go. I’ve got over 35 at this point. Maybe more. Lost count.
